Biography

In 2015, Masai founded the concept Masai & The Roots with a couple of Rwandan childhood friends. The band is a multicultural DJ concept combining a DJ set with traditional Rwandan percussion.

This live act is an extension of Masai’s weekly radio show on MNM where he expresses his African roots by playing a mix of afro, amapiano, classics and hip hop.

With this fiery concept, they packed major stages includingTomorrowland, Sfinks Mixed, Dranouter Festival, Fire Is Gold Festival, Maanrock and Polé Polé (Gentse Feesten).
